After completing his articles with NIKA LAW LLP, Nicholas joined the team as an Associate Lawyer.
As a planner, Nicholas is methodical and thorough. He takes time with his client-intake process to ensure that clients understand, in simple terms, all aspects of their Will and Power of Attorney Documents. Nicholas is a technical drafter and often deals with above-average estate plans. He is competent in dealing with multiple Wills, testamentary trusts, unequal distributions, and charitable gifting.
As a litigator, Nicholas presents as cool, calm, and collected. He prides himself on his ability to put litigious matters before the court in a thoughtful, intelligent, and productive manner. His clients feel at ease, even in highly contentious situations. When he was in law school, Nicholas placed second overall in the Dentons LLP Negotiation Competition which sparked his interest in advocacy.
Nicholas is often retained by beneficiaries, executors (estate trustees), and persons acting under a Power of Attorney for rights and duties advice. Nicholas is exceptional at preparing probate applications whether with or without a Will, passing accounts, and providing fiduciaries with guidance whether administering an estate or managing the affairs of an incapable person.
Outside of the office, Nicholas enjoys watching horror movies, attending trivia nights, and escaping to the Caribbean for scuba diving expeditions.
