Giancarlo practices both in the planning and litigation areas of NIKA LAW LLP.
He is passionate about the written and oral advocacy role of an estate litigator and employs an approach that is sensitive to the delicate and complex family dynamics which often arise in his cases.
As a planner Giancarlo adds innovative ideas to implement cohesive estate plans for clients involving a wide range of different family and corporate structures.
Giancarlo’s legal experience as an articling student at a top-tier full-service Bay Street firm gave him the opportunity to work on files relating to real estate, corporate/commercial law, general litigation and estates and trusts. After completing his articles, Giancarlo narrowed his practice focus when he joined an estate litigation boutique law firm, also on Bay Street. There he confirmed his interest was to work exclusively in this area of law moving forward.
As a law student, Giancarlo was the recipient of several awards and scholarships, including the Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP Prize in Torts, the Queen’s Law Course Prize in Fiduciary Obligations, and the CBA’s 2019 Paul Smith Memorial Essay Award in Administrative Law.
Giancarlo is fluent in Italian and Spanish, has professional working proficiency in French, and limited working proficiency in Portuguese and Catalan.
