Silvia Sossa is an Articling Student at NIKA LAW. She supports the firm’s lawyers in estate planning, estate administration, and estate litigation by assisting with legal research, drafting, and the preparation of legal documents.
Before joining NIKA LAW, Silvia worked in the Wills, Estates and Trusts Group at a leading Ontario law firm, where she assisted lawyers with the preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, and estate planning matters. This experience provided her with a strong foundation in estate law and reinforced her commitment to helping individuals and families navigate important personal and financial decisions.
Prior to moving to Canada, Silvia practiced law in Bolivia and Peru, where she held senior legal leadership roles within one of Latin America’s leading financial institutions. She advised on banking, corporate, commercial, regulatory, governance, and risk management matters, bringing a practical, business-oriented perspective to complex legal issues. She is now continuing her legal career in Canada while completing her licensing requirements in Ontario.
Silvia earned her Global Professional Master of Laws from the University of Toronto, a Master’s Degree in Business Legal Advice from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in Spain, and her Bachelor of Laws LLB from the Bolivian Catholic University.
Silvia is fluent in English and Spanish and is pleased to assist clients in either language.
Outside of work, Silvia enjoys spending time with her family.
