Michelle’s estate planning practice includes drafting wills, powers of attorney and trusts and advising clients on overall estate planning objectives. Her ability to spot issues and formulate solutions stems from her in-depth discovery process. More than a planner, Michelle is also a litigator. Her case files include: will challenges, dependent’s relief claims, power of attorney challenges, passing of accounts to name a few.
Above all, Michelle is most passionate about elder law and is driven to provide personalized and effective services to her clients. She is a strong seniors advocate who approaches every case with sensitivity and compassion.
During law school, Michelle was actively involved with the Queen‘s Elder Law Clinic, Queen‘s Legal Aid Clinic, and Pro Bono Students Canada. She was also a recipient of the Academic Excellence Award for Feminist Legal Studies.
Michelle is a native Mandarin speaker and has limited working proficiency in Cantonese. She is eager to expand her practice to servicing the local Chinese community with her expertise in Ontario estate law.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys practicing the Guzheng, a traditional Chinese musical instrument. She also volunteers at a local non-for-profit organization to help promote Chinese music and traditional arts.
